With E3 right around the corner, game announcements are starting to leak out left and right. One of those topping my radar is Star Wars 1313, a still somewhat-mysterious project focusing on bounty hunters and the Coruscant underworld. It's said to be a third-person action game with platforming elements and a large focus on motion capture for more 'realistic' movement - what else is new?

But seriously, depending on what is shown when this game is officially unveiled next week, could we be looking at a pseudo-sequel to the PS2/Gamecube game, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter which starred Jango Fett? Count me in...

This is a short 10-minute video called "Cost of Living" that I thought was actually pretty funny. I imagine this video as a short look at two of the security guards stationed in the facility from "Cabin in the Woods," which you should check out if you have yet to see or hear of it!

Futurama returns on June 20, 2012! The last episode split into 3 different animation styles was an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how well it paid off.
Hopefully the presentation will improve over time, but for now I'm just going to jump right in with this first blog post and go from there! I've always preferred jumping into the deep end over the "baby steps to adjust to the water" approach, so let's just go with that for today.

Movies and games are two big focuses of this blog, and currently each field is being dominated by a single juggernaut - Avengers and Diablo III respectively.... but you knew that.

As of this writing, Avengers has pulled in $476 million in the U.S.,  $1.2 billion worldwide, and is currently the fourth-highest grossing movie of all time. That's not counting for inflation, but still quite impressive. Unfortunately I doubt it's going to pass up Avatar, but hey, that's what the inevitable sequel is for. One of my favorite lines was undoubtedly this exchange.

(see a few more of these at vitamin-ha)

It's hard to pick just one funny moment from a movie filled with them (which should be no surprise considering Joss Whedon and all the other talent behind it) but I really wasn't anticipating the Hulk being such a hit. Who's your favorite Avenger?

And then there's Diablo 3. Launch issues and controversy over the DRM aside, (as well as the reportedly short campaign) Diablo 3 has destroyed all sorts of PC game sales records, so clearly these things aren't that big of an issue for millions of people.

I have yet to get it, but I'm sure I will eventually. Maybe whenever Blizzard gets around to patching in the postponed real-money auction house.
